Texas considers protecting fake scientists who invoke magic to solve scientific problems.

I feel sorry for the normal people of Texas. I also live in a backward state (FloriDUH) but Texas makes us look good.

You got to see this bullshit to understand how hopelessly stupid Texans are (not all Texans, just the vast majority of them). Click the link if you need any more evidence for the idea that Christians are batshit crazy, insane enough to be locked up to keep them away from innocent children.

To help you understand I translated House Bill 2454:

"An institution of higher education may not discriminate against or penalize in any manner, especially with regard to employment or academic support, a faculty member or student based on the faculty member's or student's conduct of research relating to the theory of intelligent design or other alternate theories of the origination and development of organisms."

Translation:

An institution of higher education may not discriminate against or penalize in any manner, especially with regard to employment or academic support, a faculty member or student based on the faculty member's or student's conduct of research relating to the theory of MAGIC or other MAGICAL theories of the origination and development of organisms.

The fake scientists who invoke magic to solve scientific problems are discriminated against because magic isn't science.

From a previous comment: "ITS A THEORY.....HELLOOOOO"

From the National Academy of Sciences their definition of a scientific theory:

THEORY: In science, a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses. The contention that evolution should be taught as a "theory, not as a fact" confuses the common use of these words with the scientific use. In science, theories do not turn into facts through the accumulation of evidence. Rather, theories are the end points of science. They are understandings that develop from extensive observation, experimentation, and creative reflection. They incorporate a large body of scientific facts, laws, tested hypotheses, and logical inferences. In this sense, evolution is one of the strongest and most useful scientific theories we have.

From a previous comment: "Intelligent design proponents have hundreds of these type of questions that still need irrefutable answers."

Translation:

MAGIC proponents have LOTS OF QUESTIONS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED BUT THEY'RE TOO LAZY TO LOOK THINGS UP.

You anti-science weirdos can continue to make fools out of yourselves and you can continue to disgrace your country

OR

You can grow up, educate yourselves, and face facts.

A good place to start: Why Evolution is True by Jerry Coyne (University of Chicago biology professor)

From a previous comment: "Darwin's last words were...'I WAS WRONG'. Why isn't anybody teaching that????"

Actually, TPpilot, that's a myth. Look it up or continue being a liar for Jeebus.

"Evolution is walking in the vanity of the mind which blinds the heart and this is why evolution is so dangerous."

Evolutionary biology is only dangerous to your childish superstitions.

"The religion of evolution"

Since when did a basic scientific fact become a religion?

"Intellegent Design seeks to shed scientific light on creation."

Translation:

MAGIC seeks to shed scientific light on MAGIC.

"You have proven my point."

And what point would that be? The point that you're scientifically illiterate, or the point that your fantasies are childish?

You invoked Satan as if it was real. That's insanity. Seriously, you're out of your mind. Only a wacko would say something like "Satan loves darkness". Is there any idiotic nonsense you don't believe?

••••••

"Evolution is just a man made theory vainly trying to hide behind so-called science and vainly trying to do away with God."

Should the world's biologists throw out the foundation of biology (evolution) because an uneducated moron like you is afraid of the religious implications?
