If you look at the universe and study the universe, what you find is that there is no evidence that we need anything other than the laws of physics and the other laws of science to explain everything we see. There's absolutely no evidence that we need any supernatural hand of god. -- Lawrence Krauss, World-Renowned Physicist
There is probably no other notion in any field of science that has been as extensively tested and as thoroughly corroborated as the evolutionary origin of living organisms. -- Encyclopedia Britannica
FAITH. No one word personifies the absolute worst and most wicked properties of religion better than that. Faith is mind-rot. It’s the poison that destroys critical thinking, undermines evidence, and leads people into lives dedicated to absurdity. It’s a parasite regarded as a virtue. -- PZ Myers
Religion is the antithesis of science, an anesthetic for the mind that disables critical thought and encourages the acceptance of inanity as fact, and wishful thinking as evidence. -- PZ Myers

Evolution is the fundamental concept underlying all of biology and is supported by multiple forms of scientific evidence.

Before 2008 the word evolution could not be found anywhere in Florida's public school science standards. This gave Florida's incompetent biology teachers (the Christian teachers) an excuse to not teach the most important basic fact of science. They no longer have that excuse and I hope these idiots-for-Jeebus have the decency to resign because Christians are not qualified to teach science. I also hope Florida's school administrations have the decency to fire and publicly humiliate all Christian science teachers because it's not fair to students to get stuck with idiot teachers who know nothing about the subject being taught.

Florida's scientists and Florida's competent science teachers were fed up with Florida's public school science standards which were given the worst possible grade by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute. They worked hard to completely rewrite Florida's science standards, then they presented their new standards, which make evolution one of the big ideas of science, to the Florida Board of Education. In the introduction to the biology section of the standards they wrote "Evolution is the fundamental concept underlying all of biology and is supported by multiple forms of scientific evidence."

Guess who complained about putting the foundation of biology in the biology standards for public schools?

Every pastor, preacher, Christian politician, and other professional asshole demanded the word evolution be removed from the new standards. They're uneducated morons, their children are uneducated morons, and these assholes for the dead Jeebus wanted everyone else's children to be uneducated morons.

Thanks to the relentless ridicule of these Christian subhumans, which I participated in, the new science standards were accepted with virtually no changes. Instead of the worst public school science standards Florida now has the best science standards in this country, no thanks to the cowardly Christian scum who infest our state.

The National Center for Science Education wrote about the massive Christian war against science education in Florida. The treasonous Christian assholes lost their cowardly attack against America.

Fuck off Christian losers. You worthless scum can shut up about science because the opinions of idiots doesn't matter.

A number of scientists, educators, and citizens from around the state responded to the creationist complaints. A majority of the science standards writing committee itself urged the board to adopt the new set of standards, in a statement read by Gerry Meisels, a committee member and professor of chemistry at the University of South Florida. Meisels was quoted by the Associated Press (2008 Feb 11) as saying, "We are frustrated by the disproportionate publicity and the political pressure that has been brought to bear on decision makers. Yielding to these pressures would be a real disservice to Florida because it would not only seriously impede the education of our children but also create the image of a backward state."
