"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

We are just apes.
There's nothing special about the human ape species. We are just one small twig on the vast evolutionary tree of life. Our brains are only equal to the brains of dolphins. We are inferior to other species in countless ways.

Cats are cool. Why can't puss have a soul like us conceited humans? For the same reason we don't, there's no such thing. It's a construct that can't be proven or otherwise, which like the rest of the religious gobbledygook is about as useful as farting in a phonebooth, but boy, it makes the nonsense an easy sell. That is the most surprising thing about the whole fraud.
