I spent 5 hours trying to find the best refrigerator that would fit in our kitchen. I measured everything. The big problem is I can't go over height = 65 inches. I also could not find what I wanted with frost-free which means I would have to defrost the freezer instead of getting it done automatically like now. However I think frost-free would add to the noise it makes.
UPDATE: It is frost-free.
The problem with old fridge is it never shuts off and it's extremely loud.
What I found is $524.70 including tax at Best Buy. See the links.
The worst problem is somebody does not want a free and much better fridge. Very strange.
THIS IS WHAT I WANT. IT'S MADE BY GE, SEARS SELLS IT. IT FITS PERFECTLY. AND IT'S FROST-FREE. IT COST $582.99 INCLUDING TAX, $549.99 BEFORE TAX.
ABORT ABORT I VISITED BEST BUY WHICH SELLS THE SAME GE FRIDGE AT SAME PRICE AND MOST OF THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS THAT TALKED ABOUT THE SOUND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE NOISE, ALSO OTHER PEOPLE REPORTED OTHER PROBLEMS.

Noise Level
Super quiet, I never hear it running even when I am standing right next to it.
Interior Organization
Plenty of shelves, bins for meat and temperature controlled drawers for veggies.
Temperature Control
Adjusting the temperature could not be any easier. Whether it is the interior temperature or the temps of the crisper bins, the temperature control is simple as can be. One little turn of the knob and you can go colder or warmer.
Ease of Cleaning
The bins and shelves are removable and this makes cleaning a breeze. The interior is quite roomy and makes reaching those tough corners a snap.
Durability
This brand can really take a beating. When I think quality and durability, Kenmore is the first thing I think of. With a busy family of five, three of them children, our fridges get a work out. They better be tough!
Design
Ours is the basic, full sized, upright fridge. It has a freezer on top and a fridge on bottom. It is simple to look at, simple to clean, and spacious enough to store all of your perishables. A lot of times you get what you pay for, but with Kenmore you get more than what you pay for. Who needs a smart appliance or top of the line sub zero when you can get a basic Kenmore that works just as well for a fraction of the price.
