This is for the Christian assholes who say there are no transitional fossils.

Male human ancestor spent more time on foot than in trees, study says.

Kadanuumuu's skeleton suggests A. afarensis was even less of a tree-dweller and a better walker than Ardi.

Ardi "was becoming a biped, but it truly had a foot in the trees," said Ardi co-discoverer Scott Simpson, a paleoanthropologist at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lucy, Ardi, and now we have Kadanuumuu.

We also have
Tiktaalik roseae, a complete fossil record that describes the transition from land animals to whales, and countless other fossils of transitional species.

You wanted
missing links Christian idiots. Now you got them.

These fossils, amazing as they are, are not even necessary. Extremely powerful and massive evidence from
molecular biology, genetics, and other branches of science has repeatedly proven our evolutionary relationship with the other modern ape species. We developed from ancient apes and we are still apes. Your dead Jeebus was an ape. You retards worship a dead ape.

In addition to being much bigger than Lucy, the new fossil contains a more complete shoulder blade than previously known, a major portion of the rib cage, and pelvis fragments that shed new light on how A. afarensis moved.

Kadanuumuu's skeletal features are surprisingly similar to those of modern humans, Haile-Selassie said in an interview.

Human-like Walking Is Ancient: "Lucy’s" Forebears were Advanced Upright-Walkers

Addis Ababa, ETHIOPIA: An international team of scientists conducting field research in the Woranso-Mille area of the Afar region has announced the discovery of a 3.6 million-year-old partial skeleton of "Lucy's" species, Australopithecus afarensis ("Lucy" is 3.2 million years old). This discovery and results from the initial analysis will be published this week in the Early Online Edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) of the United States of America. The first author and team leader Dr. Yohannes Haile-Selassie, Curator and Head of Physical Anthropology at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, said, "As a result of this discovery, we can now confidently say that 'Lucy' and her relatives were as proficient as ourselves walking on two legs. Human-like bipedality has deeper roots."

The new partial skeleton (KSD-VP-1/1), which the authors have nicknamed "Kadanuumuu" (kah-dah-nuu-muu), generates new information on the locomotion, shoulder girdle morphology, and shape of the rib cage in our early ancestors, particularly in "Lucy's" species, Australopithecus afarensis. "Kadanuumuu" means "big man" in the Afar language and reflects its large size. One of the co-authors, Kent State University Professor of Anthropology Dr. C. Owen Lovejoy, described the new partial skeleton as "a truly special find in understanding the early evolution of humans."

Even without fossils, we have evidence of human evolution from comparative anatomy, embryology, our vestigial traits, and even biogeography. We've learned of our fishlike embryos, our dead genes, our transitory fetal coat of hair, and our poor design, all testifying to our origins. The fossil record is really the icing on the cake.

  1. The specific points you've posted on Evolution are mostly accurately described. Perhaps if you increase your understanding of Christianity - you might just attain an equally accurate understanding of how intelligent design does not override evolution but complements it.

Nevertheless, it's also the environment in which Christianity is exposed to you - that I suspect is to blame as well. Hopefully you may meet Christians who live by the Word of God as well as they attempt to preach it.

  2. Sophia, I've met every kind of Christian there is, from the nice old lady who lives in my condo building to the brain-dead science-deniers who infest Idiot America. Oh wait, the nice old lady is a science denier.

You, Sophia, might not realize it but you're a science denier. You invoke intelligent design. That makes you a dishonest science denier. If you were honest you wouldn't use the code words "intelligent design". If you were honest you would have written "how MAGIC does not override evolution but complements it."

Sorry but magic does not complement science. Magic pollutes science. You might be a nice person but you're anti-science and you're dishonest about your own childish fantasies. Call magic "magic". You will still look dumb but at least nobody will accuse you of being a liar.

Another problem you have: "the Word of God". Your belief that a Master of the Universe communicated its "Word" to some human apes on this insignificant planet in the middle of nowhere in an unimaginably vast universe - that's 100% pure insanity. You're nice (and I appreciate that) but you're batshit crazy.
