"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

I have made it much easier to write a comment on this blog.
Before a google account was required to write a comment here. Now anyone can write a comment. I ask that visitors consistently use the same internet name, and I ask the Christians to pretend they are civilized. There is no comment moderation, so write what you want but please be nice like I always am.

Hey great. I've written a few and had to press about 10 buttons before they went up.
ReplyDeletewheeee!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe first mammals that lived 220 millions years ago were a type of shrew accordingly to evolutionary theory. From these shrews, modified by mutations selected by nature over 220 millions, are descended all other mammals - lions, elephants, giraffes, raccoons, squirrels, hippos, and even people. This would have made an excellent Rudyard Kipling Just So story. It is a terrific fairy tale for adults, defended here as rational thought courtesy of The High Priest of Belief. The patients are running the asylum.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, in this post I wrote in bold: "I encourage visitors to not call themselves anonymous."
ReplyDeleteYou're too fucking stupid or too much of an asshole to follow simple instructions, then you demonstrate your total ignorance of biology.
Fuck off retard.
