An anti-science Christian website for fucking idiots wrote about Stephen Hawking.

I wrote some comments there:

Stephen Hawking: "God was not necessary for the creation of the universe."

Translation: A fairy didn't wave its magic wand to create reality.

There's no magic in the universe and there never has been any magic. And that's what every god fairy ever invented really is, just a magician.

The gullible people who still believe in this supernatural magician in a world of never ending scientific progress are just plain stupid. They are too cowardly and too retarded to be able to think.

"Now, through his new book and corresponding 'Is There a Creator?' episode, he attempts to dispel the theory posed by Sir Isaac Newton that the creation of the universe was set in motion by God."

Newton was brilliant but he had the bad habit of invoking magic for anything he didn't understand. Today's scientists know better than to give up and invoke a magical creator.

Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.
-- Charles Darwin.

If the history of science teaches us anything, it is that what conquers our ignorance is research, not giving up and attributing our ignorance to the miraculous work of a creator.
-- Jerry Coyne.

Science is a philosophy of discovery, intelligent design is a philosophy of ignorance.
-- Neil deGrasse Tyson.

  1. If Newton was alive today, he would never resort to magic to explain what he didn't understand. He was a product of his age, and if he DIDN'T espouse a belief in supernatural B.S., he likely would have been burned at the stake.
