I just did the math. Right now it looks like Romney will win.

Mitt Romney's selection of Wisconsin's Paul Ryan to be the Republican candidate for Vice President has changed everything. A month ago I thought President Obama would be reelected easily. I thought Romney had no chance. I've been watching the polls for a long time and there recently has been a drastic change.

A month ago Romney was expected to win only 1 of 9 swing states (North Carolina). Now there are 10 swing states (Wisconsin was added to the list) and Romney is expected to win 4 of those 10 states and Romney is dead even with Obama in 3 more states. Because of Romney's momentum, because there's a long history of undecided voters eventually deciding to vote against the incumbent, and because Romney has much more money than Obama to spend on television commercials, Romney should win at least 2 of the dead even states and that will be enough to win the election.

Also helpful is the fact that the unemployment rate is not expected to improve before the election. Employers are not hiring because they fear Obama's war against business (he wants to raise taxes for people who create jobs).

270 electoral votes are required to win the election. Romney already has 191 electoral votes guaranteed (Obama has 221 for-sure votes). These are conservative states where a strong majority of voters have extreme contempt for President Obama and his incompetence. Romney will not spend a penny in those states. He can completely ignore those states because he couldn't possibly lose.

Here's a list of swing states (also known as toss up states) that Obama should win:
Michigan (16 electoral votes)
Nevada (6)
New Hampshire (4)
That's it. Obama is ahead in only 3 of 10 swing states for a total of only 26 electoral votes. Add 26 to his for-sure-221 and Obama has a total of 247 votes (270 votes required to win).

Florida (29 electoral votes)
Iowa (6)
Wisconsin (10)
North Carolina (15)
Romney is ahead in 4 out 10 swing states for a total of 60 electoral votes. Add 60 to his for-sure-191 and Romney has a total of 251 votes (270 votes required to win).

Here's list of swing states that are dead even (both Romney and Obama have the exact same percentage of voters in the polls):
Colorado (9 electoral votes)
Ohio (18)
Virginia (13)

The winner of the election will have to win any two of these three dead even states. I'm betting Romney will win all three of these states (for reasons listed above) but he needs only two. I am saying Romney will be our next president and Obama will soon be unemployed. Good riddance.

If Romney wins don't cry liberals. If Romney wins (he will win) at least your job becomes safer and you are more likely to get a raise. If you're unemployed you're more likely to find a job. And if you're underemployed you're more likely to find a full time job or a better paying job. If Mr. Tax-The-Job-Creators Obama wins (he won't win) the unemployment rate will remain permanently above 8% because our incompetent president doesn't understand how capitalism works.

You recent college graduates who are still living with mom because you can't find a job, if you want to get your life started instead of going nowhere with no future, you have to vote for Romney. And if you're an unemployed African American, I can't blame you for voting for Obama in 2008 (even I voted for Obama last time) but now you have to think about yourselves and what's in your best interest. Do you want to be rich some day, or do you want to continue living in poverty? If you don't like being poor and hungry, you have to vote for Romney.

America right now is a sleeping giant, waiting for the opportunity to show the rest of the world we are the best country in the history of this planet. That opportunity is almost here. Just do your part and help throw our incompetent president out the window.

An American actor, Clint Eastwood, age 82, gave a speech at the Republican Convention. I didn't see his speech until I watched this YouTube video. What I heard about it was Mr. Eastwood was incoherent, he spoke too long, and some people had wished he wasn't allowed to speak there.

So when I watched this video I was concerned about what I would see, but to my surprise the speech was brilliant, and the fact that it came from an 82 year old actor made it even more brilliant. The people who complained about Mr. Eastwood are idiots. The Republicans in the audience loved everything Clint Eastwood said, including the jokes, and so did I.
