An example:
BX442 is the best kind of discovery; not only does this galaxy set a new benchmark by way of its cosmic seniority, it's also super weird — weirder than what anyone thought was possible. In science, these are the finds that help us rework our understanding of nature, the discoveries that force us to step back from what we thought we knew, re-assess our preconceived notions"
This is why science is awesome. There is no plugging of ears and "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" on our side of the fence.
----------------------------------------------
Guess who plugs their ears while screaming "LA LA LA LA LA LA"?
That would be all theists, especially the extremists who refuse to understand any scientific evidence that makes their Magic Jeebus Man cry.
Another example of Christian stupidity: I have lost count of the number of times Christian tards have this ridiculous complaint about science. They say scientists are constantly changing their minds about things as if scientific progress is a bad thing.
One thing that will never change, Christian morons, is the truth of evolution. Some minor facts of evolution will be modified and improved, but the basic facts (for example the Magic Jeebus Man shares an ancestor with chimps) will never change because there is more evidence (which you idiots will never be able to understand) for those basic facts than any other branch of science.
There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, and science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win because it works.
-- Stephen Hawking
Another post from this blog worth reading: The difference between science and religion
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
