If you look at the universe and study the universe, what you find is that there is no evidence that we need anything other than the laws of physics and the other laws of science to explain everything we see. There's absolutely no evidence that we need any supernatural hand of god. -- Lawrence Krauss, World-Renowned Physicist
There is probably no other notion in any field of science that has been as extensively tested and as thoroughly corroborated as the evolutionary origin of living organisms. -- Encyclopedia Britannica
FAITH. No one word personifies the absolute worst and most wicked properties of religion better than that. Faith is mind-rot. It’s the poison that destroys critical thinking, undermines evidence, and leads people into lives dedicated to absurdity. It’s a parasite regarded as a virtue. -- PZ Myers
Religion is the antithesis of science, an anesthetic for the mind that disables critical thought and encourages the acceptance of inanity as fact, and wishful thinking as evidence. -- PZ Myers

A lifetime spent believing in bullshit is a wasted life.

A brainwashed person is likely to remain brainwashed forever unless he or she finds out there's an alternative to being a gullible moron. What chance does a victim of religious indoctrination have if he or she never meets a normal person (also known as an atheist)?

I was a victim of religious bullshit thanks to nine years of Catholic school from kindergarten thru 8th grade. My entire youth was wasted believing in the dead Jeebus and the other fantasies of the Christian death cult.

I will always be grateful to a girlfriend I had in high school. She was brilliant, she loved science, and she also had the advantage of being part of a wealthy family in a Chicago suburb. What I'm thankful for was a simple question she asked me, "Why do you go to church?"

The question shocked me. For the first time in my life I was speechless. I could not answer the question. I didn't realize it then but I had just started the slow process of recovering from the Christian disease.

My point is if a normal person can somehow help religiously infected people to grow up, there can be no greater favor because they are being saved from a wasted life.

I'm doing my bit with this blog. I encourage other normal people to help eradicate religious insanity from this planet.
