The pope who wears a funny hat and an expensive dress said evolution and the Big Bang are not incompatible with the existence of a creator - arguing instead that they "require it".
In other words the pope is OK with science but only if the science requires his Magic Man.
This is the problem with virtually all religious cults. They have to stick their magic god fairy into science even though there is nothing magical about science.
