"Why do Christians have a problem with evolution?"
Many reasons.
Breathtaking stupidity.
Extreme laziness. They refuse to educate themselves.
The religious implications of evolution are obvious. If evolution is true then Genesis is bullshit. If Genesis is bullshit then it's fair to say the entire bible is bullshit.
If evolution is true (evolution is the strongest fact of science) then the development of new species was a completely natural process, no god fairies required. If something this complex does not require supernatural magic then it's fair to say nothing requires a god fairy's magic wand.
In other words Darwin killed God. Good riddance.
