The question and my reply:
Don't you think Creationism should ALSO be taught to be fair?
Shouldn't it be taught at schools ALONG with other theories?
Isn't it only fair to let children decide after learning about all theories?
do you think the US school system is biased?
Biology teachers do not teach the magical creationism fantasy because it's bullshit. If a law was passed to force biology teachers to teach creationism bullshit the biology teachers would either refuse to cooperate or they would tell their students magical creationism is anti-science bullshit.
Teaching bullshit is child abuse so creationism should not be taught anywhere, not even in a church because child abuse is wrong.
Biology teachers teach evolution because evolution is the foundation of biology. The best biology teachers make evolution a major part of every lesson. Evolution is also the strongest and most interesting fact of science. Teach evolution and students will learn how to love science. Don't teach evolution and students will learn how to hate science.
"Creation science has not entered the curriculum for a reason so simple and so basic that we often forget to mention it: because it is false, and because good teachers understand exactly why it is false. What could be more destructive of that most fragile yet most precious commodity in our entire intellectual heritage -- good teaching -- than a bill forcing honorable teachers to sully their sacred trust by granting equal treatment to a doctrine not only known to be false, but calculated to undermine any general understanding of science as an enterprise?"
-- Stephen Jay Gould
What OO wrote, especially this: "Creationism is not a theory, dipshit. It is a belief in nonsense."
