Evidence is a wonderful thing. Science has it. Religious bullshit doesn't have it.

A Christian wrote "But scientific advancement has only shown that ID is extremely plausible." ID equals intelligent design equals magical bullshit. Science shows magic is plausible? Really? It's interesting the way science deniers use science to justify the magic they believe in. Interesting, pathetic, and dishonest.

I wrote this comment at Teleology - A Case for Intelligent Design - Part 1:

Aquinas wrote "We see how things, like natural bodies, work for an end even though they have no knowledge. The fact that they nearly always operate in the same way, and so as to achieve the maximum good, makes this obvious, and shows that they attain their end by design, not by chance…There is therefore an intelligent being by whom all natural things are directed to their end."

Mr. Aquinas: born about 1225, died in 1274. He lived in ancient times long before modern science made his cult obsolete. His fantasies had zero evidence and those fantasies still have zero evidence.

Mr. Darwin lived from 1809 to 1882. His scientific ideas had evidence and today his natural selection idea has tons of extremely powerful evidence from molecular biology and many other branches of science. Evolution by natural selection is the strongest fact of science and the foundation of biology. And supernatural magic had absolutely nothing to do with it. Natural selection, by the way, is NOT chance. Mutations are random but the natural selection of what works is most definitely is not random.

And no magical intelligence was necessary for any of it. Darwin and the thousands of scientists who came after Darwin have repeatedly shown there's no magic in the universe. Magic, or what you call god, is a childish idiotic idea and it's just not necessary.

"Apologetics is the art and science of defending the Christian faith."

You wouldn't have to defend your death cult if it had any evidence.

Evidence is a wonderful thing. Your religious fantasies don't have it.

"There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, and science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win because it works."
-- Stephen Hawking
