If you look at the universe and study the universe, what you find is that there is no evidence that we need anything other than the laws of physics and the other laws of science to explain everything we see. There's absolutely no evidence that we need any supernatural hand of god. -- Lawrence Krauss, World-Renowned Physicist
There is probably no other notion in any field of science that has been as extensively tested and as thoroughly corroborated as the evolutionary origin of living organisms. -- Encyclopedia Britannica
FAITH. No one word personifies the absolute worst and most wicked properties of religion better than that. Faith is mind-rot. It’s the poison that destroys critical thinking, undermines evidence, and leads people into lives dedicated to absurdity. It’s a parasite regarded as a virtue. -- PZ Myers
Religion is the antithesis of science, an anesthetic for the mind that disables critical thought and encourages the acceptance of inanity as fact, and wishful thinking as evidence. -- PZ Myers

An example of American stupidity to help people from normal countries understand our problem.

People from sane countries (everywhere except the United States of Jeebus) might not realize how extraordinarily stupid Americans are. To help them understand how insane it's possible to be, they should read this anti-science bullshit from a Christian hick in hick-infested Tennessee.

Please notice this paragraph: "For me, as a Christian, to accept an old age (billions of years) for the earth, is to accept that fallible man's fallible methods are in authority over God's infallible Word. I can't do that."

This Christian asshole is willing to throw out all of science because science conflicts with the Word of the fairy who wrote the Bible.

Also interesting: "Even evolutionists agree that evolution is unlikely."

Translation: "All the world's biologists agree the foundation of biology couldn't possibly be true." Where does this fucking idiot get this bullshit?

Here's the whole disgusting pathetic thing and please remember millions of Americans completely agree with this lunatic.

To the editor:
The age of the earth is an important issue in Christianity today. If the six-day Genesis account is fallacious, then how can the rest of Scripture be relied upon?
Christians have to realize that if they accept an old age for the earth, this view did not come from the Bible; it comes from outside the Bible. Thus, when they insist that we accept the "billions of years" theory, they really are telling us to accept the fallible words of fallible scientists, whose theories change, who were not there, who don't know everything -- to tell God what He means. Thus they have put man in judgment of God. Man becomes the authority.
For me, as a Christian, to accept an old age (billions of years) for the earth, is to accept that fallible man's fallible methods are in authority over God's infallible Word. I can't do that.
The old earth is a belief of evolutionary ideas, which I regard as false. Even evolutionists agree that evolution is unlikely. Vast time is necessary for an evolutionary model to be convincing, and I feel it is for this reason that such emphasis is placed on establishing this extreme view of the past.
The old earth concept (5 billion years) is a product of evolutionism, which is an evil concept. The evil and failed systems of fascism, racism, Marxism, social Darwinism, imperialism, etc., etc., have all been based on evolution and an evolutionary world view to society. Promiscuity, homosexuality, abortion, humanism, new-age pantheism, etc., etc., are from the same evil root. It is, the anti-Biblical, unGodly world view.
It is written in Job 38:4: "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding." In other words, "Were you there?"
Actually, no one was there to record these past events, for recorded history begins only a few thousand years ago.
