Most biologists take for granted the idea that all life evolved by natural selection over billions of years. They get on with researching and teaching in disciplines that rest squarely on that foundation, secure in the knowledge that natural selection is a fact, in the same way that the Earth orbits the Sun is a fact.

Given that the concepts and realities of Darwinian evolution are still challenged, albeit rarely by biologists, a succinct briefing on why evolution by natural selection is an empirically validated principle is useful for people to have to hand. We offer here 15 examples published by Nature over the past decade or so to illustrate the breadth, depth and power of evolutionary thinking. We are happy to offer this resource freely and encourage its free dissemination.

Please notice that when they wrote "Most biologists" they meant "100% of biologists". Their point is there is no debate about the basic facts of evolution. Evolution deniers pretend there is a debate, but that doesn't mean there's a debate. It only means they're uneducated morons.

The science deniers can fix their problem. All they have to do is study science. My 88 posts about the evidence for evolution would be a good place to start. Also there are thousands of other websites which explain it. And there are books. I recommend Why Evolution is True by Jerry Coyne. Jerry Coyne is an atheist as are virtually all other biologists. Evolution deniers will often use this as excuse to not listen to them. They have no shortage of excuses to remain willfully ignorant. The reason why is obvious. Creationists are creationists for many reasons including the obvious fact they're stupid. But their worst problem is they are cowards. The religious implications of evolution make them cry. So they hide behind their "Jerry Coyne is mean" and they learn nothing. Jerry Coyne, by the way, in his book Why Evolution is True went way out of his way to be polite to science deniers, not easy to do when you consider the fact that creationists are fucking idiots, as retarded as it's possible to be.

Evolution deniers, also known as Bible thumpers and terrorists, pretend there is an invisible magical barrier that makes evolution come to a complete stop before a species begins to look too different from its ancient ancestors. This is their excuse to deny their evolutionary relationship with all other creatures. The evolution deniers, also known as creationists because of their childish "everything was magically created out of nothing" fantasy, will make up any bullshit to defend their magic Jeebus man.
