Orangutans show engineering skills when building nests

The human ape species does not have a monopoly on intelligence.

I would call this more evidence for evolution:

"Orangutans show remarkably advanced engineering skills when making nests, researchers say."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Human apes are most closely related to chimpanee apes (and bonobo apes), and chimpanzees are more closely related to us than the other Great Ape species.

According to timetree.org:

The common ancestor of human apes and chimpanzee apes lived 6.4 million years ago.

The common ancestor of human apes and gorilla apes lived 8.8 million years ago.

The common ancestor of human apes and orangutan apes lived 15.7 million years ago.

It's interesting that molecular biologists have been able to determine the times of divergence for the evolutionary splits between us and the other Great Ape species. Meanwhile, millions of American idiots think people (and all other creatures) were magically created out of nothing.
