"How does a person actually get saved?"
Getting saved means the loving god will not torture you forever after you drop dead, as if it's possible to torture a corpse.
According to the insane myth, we have a magical invisible soul and that's what gets tortured. And that's just fucking ridiculous.
The other part of the myth is about the magical soul magically flying to a magical paradise where cowardly morons can have a magical 2nd life. This fantasy is just childish wishful thinking. It's impossible and it's insane.
One more thing: The magical bullshit requires sucking up to the dead Magic Jeebus Man.
