Somebody wrote a comment about Michael Bloomberg at the New York Times. I agree with what he wrote except for one thing: "Perhaps not the perfect candidate." Bloomberg is more than perfect.

Clinton was outsmarted by Trump. He out-campaigned her. She entered the race with a ton of character-laden baggage, albeit most of it repetitious nonsense. Bloomberg will not be out-smarted by Trump. He carries no character failings. He is not a liar. He is self-made, the real deal. He is intelligent. He has excellent government and business credentials, probably unmatched by anybody in the country. Being the mayor of NYC ain't easy, and he was re-elected twice. Perhaps not the perfect candidate, who is, but probably the most viable to beat Trump and help fix the harm done by him. If only for one term.
