Our ancient ancestors learned how to use fire to cook the creatures they caught. This made it possible to eat more meat which made possible the evolution of larger brains.
Now they were able to think about stuff. They wondered why are there all these creatures and plants and the Sun and stars and everything else. Why does all this exist?
They knew nothing about science. Science wasn't even a word. They eventually figured out a magical being with unlimited magical powers magically created all this stuff. Then they had another idea. They decided it would be a good idea to worship the thing.
For thousands of years more fantasies were invented. Numerous gods and religions were invented. There was no limit to their imagination. Everyone had different ideas. Sometimes there were wars because people believed in the wrong bullshit.
Incredibly all this stuff is still going on even though we know things these days. It's getting worse. More violence, more brainwashing, more stupidity. These problems are out of control.
Fixing these problems should be easy. All that's required is much more science education for everybody. Unfortunately the world's fucktards think science is wrong and children should not learn anything about it.
But still some children are getting an excellent education. They are learning how the world works and they realize a magic god fairy had nothing to do with it.
Now we have two kinds of people on this planet. People who can think and people who were trained to not think.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

We don't need the god thing anymore so why not throw it out?
