"Why do you think God is real?"
He's real, no doubt, because when I pray to Him, He responds.
We KNOW He's real because we are living proof of that.
He did something at exactly the right time. It was just what I needed, and what I hoped for.
Because He is, and there is a great deal of evidence to support that.
I have a relationship with him. It isn't one sided.
Because there is sound evidence that Jesus rose from the dead. Because my life seems to be guided by God through prayer.
I sought to know who God was. I sincerely and honestly searched for Him, and He revealed Himself to me.
I'm here, I live and breathe and the planet provides everything I need to sustain my life. I believe God is my creator, as I haven't found any plausible alternative.
For various reasons, but, bottom line: the existence of a Supreme Being is the most logical explanation for the universe.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
