What I wrote about reality, this planet, and our purpose.

"Atheists, if what you say is true then does that make life seem depressing that we all are here without meaning or purpose that there is?"

Interesting question.

1st thing: Atheism has to be true because the alternative idea, "The Magic Man", is too ridiculous and too childish to take seriously. There are no magic god fairies in the universe. This is called reality and reality can't be thrown out.

So here we are on this tiny planet in a universe of countless trillions of solar systems.

Does this mean life has no meaning and no purpose?

No, that's not true. We are not a big deal in this vast universe but we can be proud to be able to say we mostly understand how the universe and this planet works. The scientific progress has been fantastic and new discoveries will continue forever, or at least until the human race goes extinct.

It's a great time to be alive and I'm grateful for it.

We make our own purpose. For example, some people want to make this planet a better place for future generations. That's a good thing.
