I read something written by a normal person, aka atheist, and it makes sense.

"I am an atheist, and that I am in a constant state of wonderment of the universe around me. No religion needed for that."

"There is a rational explanation for everything, even if we haven't yet learned what that explanation is."

"There is always going to be the frontier of science, beyond which we don't yet comprehend it. That is the beauty and wonderment of it."

Another normal person wrote this:

"Isaac Newton and Blaise Pascal were products of a time of extreme ignorance of the natural world, and were in many ways restricted by the churches that carried so much power. They are both incredibly intelligent men, but they had little to stand atop at the time. Isaac Newton spent years trying to find hidden codes in the bible and made 'predictions' from them. So much for that. At least he gave us Calculus and a number of other great things."

The same person wrote "Did anyone see or hear from god outside of a crappy little patch of the middle east? Heck, cultures all around the world had built a number of great civilizations 2000 years ago that were completely ignorant of this so-called Abrahamic god."

Another normal person wrote this:

"As the brilliant astrophysicist Carl Sagan observed, 'extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.' The inescapable fact is that the evidence required to conclude that the existence of God is even remotely plausible is completely absent, as it is for fairies, trolls, wizards, dragons and leprechauns."

Well done. I'm adding this to my list of favorite quotes.

The god fantasy has always been ridiculous. In the 21st century it's fair to say it's totally obsolete. We know things these days.
