Not much, as societies tend to look at atheists as evil or bad.
You are free of religion's influences. You also start to take responsibility for your own actions, instead of blaming them on Satan or that a God is testing you. You shake that simplistic mode of thinking off.
You discover you are a good person. That you are whole, not broken or bad. That you don't need an invisible savior to save you. You don't need saving in the first place.
You start to question what you've been told. Not just religiously, but in all areas. You get to learn and explore. You get to gain knowledge, sometimes very painfully. But you learn to fact check, look into this or that, do deep dives, discover. That's good. That's a plus.
You start to enjoy life as it is, not waiting for this life to end to get some reward promised that nobody can verify will actually happen.
