Why do evolution deniers deny evolution?

Creationists are creationists for many reasons including:

1. Their religious beliefs conflict with reality. Of course all religious beliefs conflict with reality, that's why they're called fantasies.

2. They are willfully ignorant. They either refuse to study science, or instead of trying to learn something from the evidence they look for imaginary problems with it.

3. They're cowards. They correctly believe evolution kills their childish idiotic heaven fantasy, and they know they would become mentally disturbed if they had to throw it out.

4. This is perhaps the most important reason for denying evolution: Creationists are fucking retards. I mean if a person prefers supernatural magic instead of 150 years of scientific progress, can that person be called intelligent? Of course not. Creationists are creationists because they're just plain stupid.

Is there a cure? Usually not. Perhaps there's some hope for the youngest victims of religious indoctrination, but if a person makes it all the way to about age 30 without growing up, their disease is almost always permanent. They will waste their entire lives believing in bullshit and there's nothing that can be done for them.
