This is for the religious idiots who think our planet is a big fucking deal. NGC 1187 is just one of hundreds of billions of galaxies and every galaxy has up to 400 billion stars. Yet still the magic Jeebus man chose the speck of nothing called Earth to save Christian tards from their sins.

I can't believe the special stories that have been made up about our relationship to the universe at large because they seem to be too simple, too local, too provincial. The earth, he came to the earth, one of the aspects of god came to the earth mind you, and look at what's out there. It isn't in proportion.

  1. I want to post this on my fb sooo bad! (I love Richard Feynman, he's the most joyful Atheist I've ever seen, he's intriguing!) Back in 1982 when I became "born again" I was laughed at and mocked. Okay, fine. Some of those "mockers and laughers" friended ME on fb and how the table has turned. I want to see NOTHING religious, and all my fb friends are posting shit about prayer, pictures of Jesus, shit about our "Christian nation", etc.

And yet, I go to post this, then I hit cancel because I'm a coward. I feel like they all think I'm weird to begin with, then I post extreme shit like this.....

Dammit! I just want to be bold and speak the truth but I think because I was stupid enough to believe the bible for twenty eight years (28!!!) WHO AM I TO TELL ANYONE anyting?

I think being stupid enough to have ever been christian might just disqualify me as any type of spokesperson for reality.

  2. TreeC, Many thanks for your comments.

We agree about Mr. Feynman. I've read some of his excellent books.

You went from "born again" to "grown up". Only a very small minority of Christian fundamentalists have what it takes to be able to do that. Your Christian experience makes you more qualified rather than less qualified to be a spokesperson for reality.

I hope you post anything you want on your facebook. You might save a person from a lifetime of idiocy. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing.
