The only way to reform the Catholic Church is to completely destroy the Catholic Church. The Catholics who continue to go to church and feed the child abusers are part of the problem. They have no moral values at all. They have my contempt.

Why are these investigations not in the hands of the police, FBI and the courts?

Regarding Tim Busch’s “Everyday Catholics Can Fight Sex Abuse” (Houses of Worship, Feb. 22): Any explanation of why sexual abuse of children by the Roman Catholic clergy, or any member of the clergy, should fall into the realm of the church for investigation and punishment totally escapes reason. This abuse has far-reaching consequences for those children. Why are these investigations not in the hands of the police, FBI and the courts? Aren’t these crimes against children, not just religious infractions?
