Wall Street Journal: Religious ‘Nones’ Multiply in Both U.S. Political Parties The unaffiliated have become largest Democratic group; evangelicals remain dominant in GOP

"Nones—who include not only atheists and agnostics, but people who may believe in God but have no specific religious affiliation—have grown as an overall share of the American population, to 23% of the total, compared with 16% seven years earlier, according to research that Pew released earlier this year."
A recent Gallup poll shows that 19% of Americans accept the established truth of evolution and are certain the Magic Man had nothing to do with it. I think it's fair to say most of these 19% are atheists. The rest are deists who prefer to hide their Magic Man of the gaps before the Big Bang.
