I think President Obama was an atheist but he would never admit it. He couldn't have been elected if he didn't suck up to the imaginary Magic Man.

Finland:

The oath of office is:

I, (name), promise and swear before almighty and all-knowing God that I will, in the fulfillment of my office, follow the constitution and other laws, acting rightfully and impartially for the sake of the citizens and the society.

Those who do not want to swear the religious oath may give an affirmation. In this case, the words "promise and swear before almighty and all-knowing God" are replaced by "promise and affirm by my honor and by my conscience"

Idiot America:

In the United States, the oath of office for the President is specified in the Constitution (Article II, Section 1):

"I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The oath may be sworn or affirmed (in which case it is called an affirmation instead of oath). Although not present in the text of the Constitution, it is customary for modern presidents to say "So help me God" after the end of the oath.

An American president is not required to say: "So help me God" or "So help me Magic Man". However, if a future president refused to use those moronic words, America's Christian assholes would cry like babies.
