LA, aka Los Angeles, is having a bad day.

A large blast in downtown Los Angeles left at least 11 firefighters injured and drew hundreds of others. Several commercial buildings caught fire.

A “mayday” alert was issued, and the fire department said that more than 230 firefighters had been called to the scene. On social media, videos and images show thick smoke, visible for miles, rising into the air.
