Northwestern Illinois is a beautiful place.

The wonderful farm town I live in has given every house a garbage container. Once a week the residents put it by the curb. A truck picks the thing up and automatically empties the garbage into the truck. Humans don't have to lift anything.

Every day after I clean up the place I put a trash bag into my garbage container which I put in the driveway near the rear porch. I just did that. It's very nice out so I sat down on my rear porch which is near my favorite tree. Less than 10 feet away I saw the cardinal on that tree that's been living here. Then I saw another cardinal that visited her. It looks like there will be some baby cardinals here eventually I think.

Both the cardinals and I love my favorite but strange tree. It has long branches which have no leaves until the end of the branch. Thanks to lots of rain and lots of sunshine, there are a lot of beautiful leaves at the end of the branches. Much more than I saw last year.

Next to it is another tree which is short but very fat. I can't see the branches because the entire tree is 100% full of beautiful green leaves, and it's growing like crazy.

Underneath both trees there are two species of beautiful green plants that magically appear every spring, as do numerous other extremely beautiful plants all over the property near the house.

I do nothing. I just watch this stuff grow, and I thank goodness for the brilliant people who used to live here. They knew what they were doing when they created all this beautiful stuff.
