War

Here in this farm town in northwestern Illinois, I went to the grocery store this morning. The cashier was wearing a large mask and a special kind of gloves. The rest of her clothes made her look like she was dressed for war. And there was glass separating us. She has a dangerous job and she was not taking any chances.

I never imagined America would be having this problem. I never imagined America would have 18,771 deaths (so far as I wrote this) from a virus we imported from China.

I never imagined there would be recession in America with millions of jobs lost when before the economy was fantastic. Anyone who wanted a job could get a job.

I never imagined the government would be giving me $1,200.00 this month and probably another $1,200.00 next month, even though I already have more money than I will ever need.

The year 2020 is going to be very interesting, especially with the election in November.
