I remember watching on TV Jacqueline Kennedy give America a tour of the White House. She was an amazing person. Somebody wrote this comment at the New York Times.

"Jacqueline Kennedy brought more than glamour to the White House. She transformed the White House through her appreciation for history and preservation. Every administration since her husband's has respected the visual history the President's House represents. She elevated the role of the arts in our nation by inviting America's notable writers, poets, and performers to the White House. Through her clothing choices, she brought attention to the importance of fashion design and the way it can be used to make a larger statement--something subsequent First Ladies understood, especially Michelle Obama. That she did all of this in her early thirties is simply astonishing."
