Never give up.

At a chess game I just played I had only my king. My opponent had his king and a queen which is the easiest position for checkmate. And he had plenty of time on his clock.

Most people, including me, would resign. But fortunately I decided to continue playing, hoping for a stalemate. Instead of a stalemate he accidentally gave me his queen and it was a draw. I think he was nervous because I have a much higher rating.

I fucked up the endgame. I should have won but I didn't spend enough time to figure it out.

Never resign, including chess and everything else.
