Numerous uneducated morons have repeatedly called evolution a religion. They do this to advertise their extreme stupidity.
Evolution is science. Science does not have anything to do with moronic religious cults and magic god fairies.
Evolution has religious implications but that's no excuse to call this science a religion. If evolution is true (it's the strongest fact of science) then the magic god fairy had absolutely nothing to do with the development of new species. So it's fair to say the god fairy had nothing to do with anything else. A god fairy with nothing to do is a fairy that doesn't exist.
The religious implications of science make Christian retards and Muslim terrorists cry. Cowards can't live without their loving god and their childish magical heaven fantasy.

Christians know that their religion has no evidence and is not based on logic, whereas they know science does. Calling science a religion is the Christian's attempt to denigrate science down to religion, so the Christian can say to the atheist/scientist "We're both equally dumb." Well, it doesn't work that way. Denigrating science does not prop up Christianity.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
