"Should religion be allowed to be taught in schools? I don't think it should be. I mean, why would anyone want to introduce a child to filth? It would damage their mind."
It would be a waste of classroom time to talk about religious stupidity. School is for learning about math and science. Religions are anti-science. Religions are brain damage.
Also, in America where I live, teaching the moronic religions, besides being child abuse, is a violation of the Establishment Clause of our Bill of Rights. There must be a complete separation between church and state. That means no god stuff in public schools.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
