Why does California have so many wildfires? There are four drivers; climate change figures prominently.
Tropical Storms Marco and Laura are churning in the Caribbean, prompting a wave of warnings and watches. The governor of Louisiana has declared a state of emergency.

For both California and Louisiana the problem is human-caused global warming.
Where I live, a northwestern Illinois farm town, we don't have these problems. We never have hurricanes and we never have forest fires. Sometimes the weather, for example too much rain, is a problem for the farmers here. But nobody gets killed.
I noticed our summers are much hotter than they were. And it's going to get worse.
The young people on this planet are in big trouble. They will inherit the stupidity of the previous generations who let this disaster happen.
One good thing is we are getting rid of Fucktard Trump who has been doing everything he can to destroy this planet.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
