A lot of very good "substance" from Jeb Bush last night. And Kasich was impressive. Carson won the prize for most civilized person there. Trump did a good job but did not win it. Nobody won it. Fiorina doesn't seem to like Trump for some reason. I think Jeb and Trump were having fun with each other.

Huckabee should have been in the little kids debate. He didn't belong with the adults. It would be so nice if the losers dropped out now. They just waste valuable time.

The "social conservative" stuff. The Republican Party would be better off without it if they want to win the election.

This piece feels like a weird remedial political analysis. We are 13 months out, people. EVERY candidate should be playing a long-game. I did like Vin Weber's comment: Trump was under-estimated, now he's over-estimated. Jeb is in a marathon, with or without Trump. And frankly, with Trump, he's going to be in far better condition, as a candidate. It's almost like this whole thing has been scripted, with these plot points unfolding the way they are..... Trump insulting Jeb for being bi-lingual.... yes, that is a real drawback, when everyone knows that the Hispanic vote will be key. But my conspiracy theories have no legs. There's no way Trump would take direction. But maybe there's someone stoking his egoic bonfire? Seriously, its all too much. Jeb will benefit in the long run.

Jeb can speak perfect Spanish and his wife is from Mexico. I suggest he is the only Republican candidate who could easily win the Hispanic vote which the Republicans have to win. Thanks for your comments flow555. You give me some hope.

I thought the voters made these decisions. I don't ask "the Republican establishment" who I should vote for.

I don't get this "Jeb has the wrong last name therefore he shouldn't get the job." It's as everyone is identical to their brother. I have a brother and we are completely different about virtually everything. Jeb is different from George W. For example Jeb knows how to properly speak English.

Another thing I don't get is this obsession with immigration (which is the only position Mr. Trump has on his website). For example "Mexicans take away jobs from Americans." Perhaps that's true for the bottom of the lower class, but I don't think many Republicans have minimum wage jobs. When I was a software developer I didn't worry about Mexicans sneaking into America so they could replace me.

The Donald and the Demagogues. Democracies that trade substance for charisma don’t last. Trump is America’s answer to Hugo Chávez.

What I got out of this article is Ms. Clinton is saying exactly what she thinks she needs to say to win the nomination and the election.

She is exaggerating but isn't this close to what Mr. Trump has proposed? I suggest Mr. Trump, whether or not he wins the nomination, will be the one person who made Ms. Clinton's victory possible if she wins.

I am hoping Jeb, the man with the wrong last name, gets the job. Unlike Mr. Trump, Jeb is an adult.

Republican idiots want to nominate an idiot for USA president.

I like Jeb, the man with the wrong last name. He had a plan for immigration reform long before Mr. Trump entered the race. And unlike Trump, Mr. Jeb is not going to throw 11 million people out of the country, especially if they have a job, a home, a family, and they're willing to do what it takes to be an American citizen (instead of living in fear the rest of their lives). And he has ideas to protect the border without putting up an ugly wall at one of the most scenic rivers in the world.

If the Republican candidate is going to defeat the liberal extremist he will have to win most of the Hispanic vote. Trump will never be able to do that. Jeb could do it easily thanks to his ideas, his Mexican wife, and his ability to speak perfect Spanish.

So if you want Ms. Clinton to get the job all you have to do is nominate Mr. Trump.
