Hurricane Laura intensifies to Category 3. The storm is expected to reach Category 4 as it closes in on Texas and Louisiana.

Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall as a Category 4 storm near the Texas-Louisiana border Wednesday night or Thursday morning. The storm is likely to cause "potentially catastrophic" damage from the combination of high winds and storm surge flooding, NOAA said.
