We were visiting family in another state and watched on the TV in our hotel room the horrible events unfolding. Our return air tickets were for the next day or two and of course all aircraft were grounded. We rented a car from Hertz who waived all one-way drop-off fees and drove the thousand miles back home. Words can't describe the weirdness of being in a large airport with zero air traffic.
Never forget what happened America.
