If I could, I would begin a campaign to shoot all feral cats and then not allow cat ownership unless cat owners kept cats indoors. We have lost billions of North American birds recently. When will we start taking the necessary steps to avoid this current mass extinction, of which our own species is a part?

Cats should be spending their time inside. Outdoors they're killing machines that have decimated songbird populations and contributed to the sharp decline in the number of birds in North America.
