In extraordinary hour-long call, Trump pressures Georgia secretary of state to recalculate the presidential vote in his favor The Washington Post obtained a recording of a call Saturday in which President Trump alternately berated, begged and threatened Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, urging him to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s win in the state. Raffensperger repeatedly refused to do so, telling Trump that the election was fair and accurate. Election experts said the president’s attempts to interfere with the vote raised legal questions.
