My question: "Why are there still creationists in the 21st century?"
Best answer:
I may have some insight to offer, as I was raised within an American Protestant denomination that taught Biblical Literalist Young-Earth Creationism.
Because they believe that the Bible is inerrant, and that Genesis was in effect dictated to Moses by God, they believe that giving the scientific evidence a fair hearing would risk the salvation of their immortal souls. And no, that's not an exaggeration.

What he wrote makes sense. Christian fucktards think studying evolution would get them in trouble with the Magic Man. And that's why they will always know nothing about the science that makes them cry. They have zero curiosity. Their brain damage can't be fixed.

EVOLUTION: "The supporting evidence is abundant, various, ever increasing, solidly interconnected, and easily available in museums, popular books, textbooks, and a mountainous accumulation of peer-reviewed scientific studies."
-- National Geographic
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
