I'm old enough to remember the 20th century. It was terrible. We had World War One, World War Two, the Holocaust, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
The worst thing about the 20th century: There was no fucking Internet. Can you imagine no internet? It was terrible. We had to go to stores to buy stuff. How fucking primitive can you get? And people had to pay for the music we listened to. That's ridiculous.
And there was no fucking Wikipedia. To look stuff up I had to go to a fucking library and borrow a book about it.
Thank goodness for the 21st century.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
