I have no problem with the word "atheist" but I think it would be more accurate to call ourselves "normal people".
For example, normal people don't believe in ridiculous fantasies like magic god fairies and magical resurrections.
Normal people accept established scientific facts, for example evolution. People who prefer magical creationism are definitely not normal. I would call them insane, stupid, gullible, and uneducated.
Normal people would never use ridiculous words like "theistic evolutionists".

Somebody else wrote this about my idea. Well done.
"In one sense, you are correct, there shouldn't need to be a name for someone who is not something and atheism should be the default position of everyone. Sadly, human and social psychology drives us to look for a greater meaning and causes from external sources, and likewise, belief in the supernatural is very ingrained in our society. What it should be - a population who thinks rationally - is not the norm."
-- Wundt
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
