In Idiot America, 72% of the biology teachers are incompetent and should be fired. But of course they will never be fired no matter how fucking stupid they are. The students learn virtually nothing about evolution. Some of the asshole teachers go out of their way to explain why magical creationism is how the world works, and evolution is wrong. I'm not making this up. Science education in the United States is terrible and disgusting.
The problem is the Christian morons who infest this country. I never met a Christian who wasn't a stupid fucking asshole.
"A disconnect remains in evolutionary acceptance between scientists and teachers. Branch said only about 75 percent of high school biology teachers then accepted the veracity of evolution, according to a national study in 2007. Of those, about 12.5 percent 'misrepresent creationism in their classrooms as scientifically credible,' while only 28 percent 'present evolution honestly, accurately and completely.' Some 60 percent of educators teach evolution 'half-heartedly,' he explained, because their conservative Christian communities are often so generally hostile to it."
