When turning left it's very important to turn on your left directional signal, especially when there are illegal drugs in your car and you have an outstanding arrest warrant. This happened one mile from where I live in this wonderful farm town in northwestern Illinois.

A man arrested during a traffic stop Saturday for not using his signal had an ounce of methamphetamine and nearly $9,000 in cash in his possession.

Joseph Menold, 48, of Kewanee, was arrested by Kewanee Police at 11:13 a.m. in the 500 block of West Fourth Street for possession of 15-100 grams of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver, driving with a revoked license and failure to signal. He also was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from Rock Island County and from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Menold appeared before a Henry County judge on Monday where his bond was set at $150,000. He is currently at Henry County Jail and also is being held on the warrants. He will have a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Henry County Courthouse.

Police also seized the 2006 Mercedes-Benz vehicle Menold was driving at the time of his arrest.

A passenger in the vehicle, Felicia Warner, 33, of Bradford, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was released with a notice to appear in court.

The charge for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver is a Class X felony and carries a potential sentence of 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

The same police department and one neighbor saved my life last year. I'm not making this up. 8 HOURS OF TERROR
