Someone asked for a list of evil things about Christianity.
What I wrote:
1. Brainwashing children. This is child abuse.
2. The never-ending Christian war against teaching evolution.

What someone else wrote:
Some Christians use their religion as an excuse to go after minority groups. That it's ordained by their god to torture, torment, and end a group they find bad or wrong. Religious freedom laws that make it okay to deny birth control coverage to women or deny services.
Twisting love into some sort of free pass to excuse their own behaviors and actions. They do this out of love while being nasty, overbearing, proselytizing. Then crying victim when people call this out. As if they can do no wrong as long as they claim God is with them.
Inserting their teachings and beliefs into the laws that everyone has to follow. Getting creationism taught in public schools. Abortion restrictions or outright banning, such as no abortions after six weeks or the fetal heartbeat laws.
Taking it for granted that being a Christian is automatically a good thing. That because you call yourself a Christian, you are morally superior to those that are not Christians.
Loss of curiosity. Christianity asks that you do not question or explore anything much beyond making sure God doesn't condemn you.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
