Christian Pastor Claims Noah’s Family Shoveled 12 Tons Of Excrement Daily

FEBRUARY 3, 2020 BY MICHAEL STONE

Stupid For Jesus: Pastor Perry Stone, a prominent conservative Christian and a creationist, argues that Noah and his family shoveled “5 to 12 tons” of animal excrement a day while on the Ark.

In a recent video Stone discusses the logistics of excrement for Noah and his family while on the Ark. In the video, filmed at the Golan Heights in Israel for a video series called Exposing Satan’s Secrets, the Christian pastor explains:

It is estimated that there were 5 to 12 tons of manure a day on the Ark. Now there was a window on top of that Ark that could be opened — it actually was on the side, not the top, it’s on the side — where they could throw it out if they needed to, so it doesn’t necessarily mean it piled piled piled, they had a way getting rid of it, no doubt.

Wow – that’s a lot of shoveling for a family of eight people.

Stone’s attempt to rationalize and explain the myth of Noah’s Ark as if it was some historical truth is laughable. The idea of the Ark, with all the different animals of the Earth on board, and only tended by Noah and his family, is clearly absurd.

However, for many conservative Christians like Stone, any coherent understanding of Christianity depends upon a literal interpretation of the Bible, including a belief that the story of Noah and the account of creation offered in the Book of Genesis is historically accurate.

The fact is, for many, once biblical creationism is rejected, Christianity unravels: there is no Adam and Eve, no original sin, and no need for redemption through the blood of Christ.

In addition, once one biblical account of supernatural absurdity is rejected, like the account of Noah’s Ark, all other biblical accounts of supernatural absurdities become suspect. And this drives some Christians to ridiculous positions, like clinging to the untenable claim that the earth is only 6,000 years old, that human beings and dinosaurs lived on the earth at the same time, and that the story of Noah’s Ark is true.

Bottom line: Demonstrating the absurdity of conservative Christianity, Pastor Perry Stone argues that Noah and his family shoveled “5 to 12 tons” of animal excrement a day while on the Ark.
