"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

Best chess game I ever played in my life. It was a 10 minutes for each player game. As I was about to win it, before I could make my 93rd move I ran out of time while my opponent from Bangladesh had only 0.35 seconds left, aka 1/3 of a second. Since my opponent had no pieces and no pawns the game was a draw.
